“Art as a Healing Practice” is a gentle and powerful process, developed by Kathleen Horne, integrating guided meditation, visual art, writing and sharing/witnessing. The power of creativity brings healing and light to personal challenges, facilitating positive change.
Fee: $40 per session.
Basic materials are provided. Call (941-366-9595) or email kathleen@expressiveartsflorida.com by Wed. of the weeks you plan to attend.
Any level of art experience is welcome, including beginners, working artists, and people who think they “aren’t creative”. The atmosphere will be safe and accepting; no critiques or interpretations.
Classes are designed to open you up to your creative flow, access authentic imagery, facilitate healing and well being, and assist you in developing a personal art practice.
Kathleen Horne is a Registered Expressive Arts Consultant/Educator, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and visual artist. She was co-founder and core faculty of the Art and Healing Certificate Program at Ringling College of Art and Design, one of the creative partners of Expressive Arts Florida, and Core Faculty of Expressive Arts Florida Institute. She is a Board Member of the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association.
